God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Psalms 46:1-3 ESV
Weather in the Ohio Valley can be a mixed bag. One day it could sunny and 70 degrees outside, and the next day the ground can be completely covered in snow. Last week was no exception. On Wednesday last week, I was able to take both kids to the park in the afternoon for a few moments of fun. Then by Monday morning, the ground was covered with snow (We had about three inches, which is not a lot, but keep in mind it was 70 a few days ago).
Inconsistent weather is the norm here. God remaining the same is the norm as well. We need to be reminded of this. What happened in between the sun and snow is where tragedy stuck. Since the temperature was going through such dramatic swings, the air was extremely unstable and produced devastating tornadoes. The storm destroyed buildings and homes in Southern Indiana and parts of Kentucky. Town have been completely wiped off the map, and people saw their homes and lively hoods taken away within a matter of minutes. In times like these we need to remember how God is never changing and is faithful. While seasons change, cultures shifts, fads come and go; our God stays the same.
Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations Deuteronomy 7:9 ESV
And he who is the Glory of Israel will not lie, nor will he change his mind, for he is not human that he should change his mind!” I Samuel 15:29 NLT
The LORD has made everything for his own purposes. Proverbs 16:4a NLT
God keeps His promises to us. When He decrees something it stays true. His mind is not changed by fads, trends, and man’s actions. While chaos seems to rule the day; God is still in control. He is faithful. God is consistent, and remains true to His purposes.

Here are a few other pics I took while the snow was on the ground.
This picture is something that is circulating on Facebook. It is just an example of the crazy weather here in Louisville.
